Online poker has become world famous lately, with televised championships and celebrity poker game shows. Its popularity, though, arcs back in fact a bit farther than its TV scores. Over the years numerous types on the original poker game have been created, including a handful of games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely affiliated with 21 than long-standing poker, in that the players wager against the dealer rather than each other. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little bluffing or other types of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up prior to the croupier announcing "No more wagers." At that instance, both you and the dealer and of course all of the other gamblers are given 5 cards. Once you have looked at your hand and the bank’s initial card, you must in turn make a call wager or give up. The call wager’s value is akin to your beginning wager, which means that the risks will have increased two fold. Giving Up means that your ante goes directly to the house. After the wager comes the conclusion. If the casino does not have ace/king or better, your bet is returned, with a sum on par with the original wager. If the dealer has a hand with ace/king or greater, you win if your hand is greater than the casino’s hand. The dealer pony’s up cash even with your original bet and set expectations on your call wager. These odds are:
- Equal for a pair or high card
- two to one for 2 pairs
- 3-1 for three of a kind
- 4-1 for a straight
- five to one for a flush
- seven to one for a full house
- twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
- fifty to one for a straight flush
- one hundred to one for a royal flush
