No-Limit Holdem Poker- Howard Lederer?

Howard Lederer was born into in a family of five where he loved playing different card games at a young age. He found himself becoming really aggressive in the above-mentioned card games as he was competing against his dad. After finishing high school, Howard decided to place college on hold for a little bit and moved away to New York City to play some serious chess. While playing chess, he was introduced to a poker game going on in the rear of the room. Howard’s initial two years were difficult as he would play extensive hours and lose most times. He made some additional money by being an assistant for the poker players. He judged he could better his game by analyzing his life outside of poker. He brought about an effort to acquire more sleep and concentrate even more on the game.

The real advancement in his abilities began when he started playing at the Mayfair Club in New York City. The Mayfair was a bridge and backgammon club where the best players would frequently challenge each other. He was able to access a number of the greatest minds in chess. With their assistance, Howard would hone his logical thinking abilities. He applied these strategic concepts to the game of No-Limit texas hold’em.

He also helped his sister Annie Duke learn the game of poker. She was a superb student of the game as she constantly asked questions about how to make the proper decision. He told Annie Duke to head out to Sin City and play in the WSOP competition. She is one of the greatest women players the poker arena has ever seen. Howard relocated to Sin City in 1993 and participated in cash games for the subsequent decade. When the WPT gained popularity, he made the decision to compete in more tournaments.
